Andrea Corr enjoyed a relaxing day at the beach during a sun-soaked break in Barbados on Saturday.

The Corrs singer, 45, looked sensational as she showcased her slender figure in a black bikini while spending time by the sea in the picturesque location.

Her ensemble was comprised of a halterneck bikini top and bow-detail bottoms, which highlighted her toned abs as she enjoyed a relaxing stroll.

Andrea protected herself from the sun by wearing a large white sun-visor hat that covered her face, as well as a stylish pair of shades.

She pulled her raven locks back into a messy ponytail, while she used a natural palette of make-up to accentuate her pretty features.

In November, Andrea reflected on the ‘devastating’ five miscarriages that she suffered in a bid to become a mother.

During an appearance on This Morning, she admitted she felt ‘very lonely’ whilst struggling with her fertility and began to believe she would never have a child.

Andrea, who has since welcomed two children with husband Brett Desmond, added that she was forced to suffer in silence as she did not tell many people about her miscarriages.

She told Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: ‘It’s too big a part of my own spiritual evolution to exclude from my memoir.

‘I had five miscarriages. The first two were the most devastating as I didn’t have (sons) Jean and Brett then. And I didn’t know if I’d ever be a mother.

‘It is a very lonely place to be… nobody knows about what is not visibly there.’

Andrea is mother to Jean, seven, and Brett Jr, five, and revealed that when she suffered miscarriages later in life, having her children around helped with the grief.

The singer recently told the Daily Mail’s You magazine she was eager to become a mother after the couple tied the knot and experienced ‘a lot of suffering in silence’.

She said: ‘Every time, no matter how often it happens, as soon as you discover you’re pregnant, you so quickly go into the mode of hoping and dreaming for this child – and then suddenly it’s all gone.

‘Every time I’d feel so sad for a life that wasn’t there any more and also really frightened that this was it. That I’d always miscarry.’

Andrea detailed the painful time in her new memoir Barefoot Pilgrimage which she insisted is not a ‘pop star’s autobiography’.

Andrea is one fourth of Irish band The Corrs with her older siblings Jim, 55, Sharon, 49 and Caroline, 46, and has sold more than 40million records worldwide.
